The Public Trustee provides an extensive range of services:
Making of your will – Making a will is the best way to ensure your assets will be distributed according to your wishes
Estate administration – Estates can be administered in accordance with the terms of your will
Trusts –A trust secures your assets so that children or other named beneficiaries can access them in the future
Enduring Power of Attorney –If you have an accident or sudden illness, you may need someone to manage your financial affairs.
Enduring Power of Guardianship – An enduring guardian is a person you can appoint to make personal and lifestyle decisions for you. The role of a guardian is not the same as an attorney. An attorney manages a person’s financial and legal affairs, whereas a guardian makes personal and lifestyle decisions on behalf of someone else. You can choose who this person should be.
Personal management services – Sometimes due to an illness, accident, old age or disability, people find that they are no longer able to handle their financial affairs.
Taxation Services – Public Trustee will prepare your annual tax returns and provide advice on all your personal taxation matters
Fund Management Services – Monies can be held in trust for clients and help is offered for investing these monies.
