                  KURA YERLO INC

Kura Yerlo provides services to the Aboriginal Community in the western metropolitan region and hosts many programs including:

  • The Aboriginal Aged Care Program (HACC)
  • Socialization and recreational program
  • Day care, art & craft camping, day trips and luncheons
  • Transport to venues.

NUNGA CARERS GROUP

  • Meets every second Monday from 10am – 2pm, for carers of aged and younger people with disabilities
  • Provides social outings, arts and craft sessions and regular guest speakers.
  • Provides transport.

KARRARENDI PROGRAM

  • Karrarendi program is a culturally focused program for Aboriginal people with a disability. It includes a program for adults, art and craft camps and excursions and participation in the High Beam festival.
  • Sessions are held Thursday fortnightly from 10am – 2:30pm.
  • Pottery & leadlight sessions  are also available to the elders on Wednesdays from 10am -1pm.

BURKA MEYUNNA

(Elderly people by the sea)
This group is a Home & Community Care Centre based day care program of Aboriginal Elders of the western metropolitan regional forum of the Council of Aboriginal Elders of SA. The group meets once a fortnight.
